Refund a server and buy a new one

When to use this

On ip.net.coffee/claude, there are no leaks, but the Claude AI trust score is below 70;
or you picked the wrong location or plan when buying;
or the IP is blocked in China, and you bought it less than a month ago and have barely used it (usually it’s easier to just pay for a new IP: see IP blocked in China).

You can’t swap your own server for a “better-reputation” IP. The simplest fix is to refund this one and buy a new one, which comes with a new IP.

1. Email for a refund

Sign in to the BandwagonHost client area and submit a ticket, or email support, and paste whichever email below matches your situation. Replace [...] with your server IP or order number.

Wrong location

2. Reply to the confirmation email

After you submit, BandwagonHost staff will email you to confirm. Just reply to that email and confirm once more:

Once you’ve confirmed, the refund goes back to the account you paid with.

3. Buy a new one

Once the refund is processed, buy a new server as in Buy a server from BandwagonHost, and note its IP, root password and SSH port again.

4. Deploy, then test again

Set up the new server from step 3 “Configure the server” and give it a new name (the old ssh name no longer works). When it’s done, open ip.net.coffee/claude again: no leaks and a score of 70 or above means you’re set.
